>>33>Dynamo sighs as he brings a gauntlet arm to his helmet. Resigned, he then states:"It's fine Speedrunner. As I said to Omnius, this never happened in the official report."
>Looking at the vigilantes, he then continues:"Now I assume you've gotten to the bottom of this? The Helixers have never been this blatant in their attacks. And I heard reports that Station Square and Archeon were under attack as well."
>Giving Speedrunner a "OK" hand gesture, Mosaic then turns to everyone presented and states:"I looked at some of the information on their datapads."
>Mosaic says, gesturing to a set of small, miniature and phone-like devices pulled from his utility belt."They've been coordinating with these. Two way comms devices and data storage units."
>Tossing them at Dynamo's feet, Mosaic then continues:"The three attacks were a diversion, while their leader was planting bombs - bio-chemical weapons. From what I can gather, they've been set to deploy a noxious gas that can break down biomass on a genetic level."
>Seeing the immediate reactions, Mosaic then elaborates:"They're wired to a remote deadman switch, meaning their leader could activate them at any time. I'm going to guess the plan was to keep us busy, while those were set up - so that their leader could hold the city for ransom."
>Then turning towards Speedrunner, Mosaic points at her:"Hey you, speed demon. You're fast enough to disarm the bombs. And before you ask."
>Mosaic takes out a small metallic capsule from his belt, tapping the side as it expands into a large metallic device with glowing red circuitry."This is a multi-tool device. It's got a remote frequency scanner and a mini EMP generation device. I've already calibrated it to the signal that the Helixers were using - since Traction was the one in charge of giving the OK - before their leader primed the devices to go off."
>Tossing it at Speedrunner with a flip of his thumb, he then concludes:"The red light and the signal icon will glow brighter as you get closer to the bombs. After you find one, press the red button on the side, and that'll activate a controlled EMP burst - should knock the device out. I've estimated that there are around six of these bombs in Sanctuary City - so you'll have to sweep the whole place. Fortunately, the radius of the detector is a few dozen miles, so it shouldn't be too hard for you to get a fix on each location."
>Valkyrie stares at Speedrunner for a moment."She can't be expected to do all of this! She doesn't have any experience with munitions control! Ordnance disposal! We're going to need the bomb squad-"
>Mosaic then turns towards the elite MRD agent, annoyed."We don't have time for this lady, with all due respect. Speedrunner's our best option, and the frequency scanner is already calibrated to Traction's test signal. We're good, and she's more than capable of doing this."
>Crossing his arms, Mosaic then allows his cloak to rest over his shoulders, stating:"Of course, I could probably do it myself but….Never mind. You got all that Speedrunner? Ready?"
>Mosaic says, looking at her now.
