>Date: April 4th, 2017
>Location: Archeon Midwestern Manufacturing Facility
>Time: 2:30 PM

>Mosaic touches down in the manufacturing facility - looking around. As he sees the partial wreckage of the place in question, he stares in disbelief for a moment. Large fires explode in plumes as workers rush to evacuate the scene - not paying attention to Mosaic's sudden presence. At the same time, he then looks around for any sign of the cause - only to then realize:

"….Centurion."

>Looking at the distorted figure of a being slowly walking through the fires and towards him, Mosaic quickly makes out his form and appearance. As the figure of the costumed Meta-Human becomes more pronounced, Mosaic then scoffs as he says:

"I figured as much. The Champion clones looked a bit too much like you. Moved a like you too."

>Scratching his chin, Mosaic then says:

"Hit harder though. So I'd say they were an upgrade overall-"

>Centurion then rushes Mosaic at blinding speeds, enough to get his attention - but not enough to blast past his own senses. Making a feint maneuver, Mosaic flips backwards, landing on the ground on his feet. Moving his attention up directly towards the powerful Meta-Human, he then says:

"No time for chit chat then I guess."

>Mosaic then rushes Centurion with his own displace of force, attacking him with precision strikes and demonstrating enough strength and force to push him backward. As he does so, he jumps towards the figure, stating:

"You really have nothing to say then? Fine by me."

>Mosaic then catches a punch from Centurion, moving to then punch him up into the air - sending him flying without hesitation.

>As Centurion is sent flying into the air, Mosaic then watches as continues flying. Narrowing his lenses, he then states:

"Something isn't right. Centurion is supposed to be a "hero". He's not the type to destroy facilities out of spite. That and he's been gone for years. What in the world happened to him now?"

>Mosaic then stares up into the sky, waiting for Centurion to regain his bearings and continue the fight in a few moments.

>As Centurion continues flying back towards the ground, Mosaic readies himself.

"Come on. Let's make this quick for once."

>Mosaic then leaps backward as Centurion reaches the ground - crashing into a makeshift crater as he slowly rises to his feet. As his eyes glow with blue light, Centurion then begins blasting Mosaic with energy - only for the latter to carefully dodge out of the way, evading the energy beams.

>Mosaic then moves around, hiding behind destroyed debris centered around the plant as he then shouts:

"Come on Centurion! Talk to me! Heroes are supposed to be wisecracking aren't they?!"

>Making a quick gesture with his hand, Magister dispenses a vibro disc, tapping the side to prime it for light projection. With another moment of thought, he then moves out from behind his cover spot - quickly flinging it at Centurion's face - where it connects and explodes into a condensed beam of bright light.

>Centurion grunts as he stumbles backwards, falling backwards as his superhuman senses begin to overload thanks to the visual stimuli of the light vibro disc.

>Seeing his opportunity, Mosaic moves out from behind his hiding spot and leaps towards Centurion's position. Landing beside him, he quickly takes out a set of nanite capsules from one of his pouches and crushes them over Centurion's face - forcing him to inhale knockout gas.

>Centurion then begins coughing heavily as he then slowly becomes unconscious. Sighing, Mosaic then slowly rises to his feet, dusting himself off as he then says:

"That's one down. One more to go. Assuming he doesn't have any tricks left."

"You'd like that, wouldn't you, Grayson?"

>Hearing the voice, even distorted, Mosaic immediately knows who it is.

>Turning around, slowly, Mosaic then sees the figure of Faust standing in the distance - around 20 meters away.

"You."

>Mosaic says, anger building up in his body. As he slowly curls his hands into fists, he looks on at Faust, who crosses his arms.

>He then states out loud:

"I know exactly what your little arrangement is here with the Silent People. Empress Maeve too. Must've been second nature for you to kidnap people and use them as cattle, Jack. It's all you were ever good for anyways - crime."

>Faust involuntarily flinches, gritting his teeth in anger as rage builds up inside of him. As he controls this rage somewhat, he then exhales and states:

"Never mind me, Aiden. What about you? How do you like what I've done to your manufacturing plant? God only knows it's a better reflection of you now. Isn't it?"

>Mosaic scoffs as he then points at Faust, stating:

"I've met a lot of guys over the years who really couldn't help themselves with their own bullshit. Some of them actually believed it too. But not you, Jack. You know everything that comes out of your mouth is horseshit."

>Faust makes a casual shrug as he then says:

"You've got me. Guilty as charged. But that was the point, wasn't it Grayson? It got to you. Much like everything else I've done up to this point. You're lucky that none of your little employees died when I sent the mercs to torch your buildings. I could've gone further you know. Maybe gone after that little pipsqueak of a sidekick. Damian was his name right? The Desmond sprite."

>Immediately narrowing his eyes, Mosaic then watches as Faust begins walking around, slowly.

"That, or I could try my luck with your new business associate - Hiyuki Hoyokazi, now couldn't I? Tailing you for the past few days was a chore - but it was worth it too."

>Faust says, crossing his arms while staring at Mosaic carefully.

"Wouldn't you agree, pal?"

>Before Faust can even react, a fist connects to him with such force as to shatter the fabric of reality - for a fraction of a moment. Before reality repairs itself, the flickering of bright red light emanates from Mosaic's first for the first time - enough to corrode Faust's body and nearly split him in half as he rapidly spirals away.

>As Mosaic rushes forward with speed not seen before, he continues punching Faust with enough strength to rip his body apart - as it barely reforms.

>Screaming in pain the entire time, Faust then manages to shout:

"Fuck off Grayson! You're gonna suffer! Just like I did! Each and every little discomfort you caused me? Each and every little ounce of pain you created? I'm gonna return it tenfold! It's all I have left now - after offing the old man and woman too!"

>Mosaic ignores him and continues punching Faust, now coming to a stand-still where Mosaic begins punching him rapidly - enough to create massive craters as explosions as far as the eye can see are created with each and every punch from Mosaic's fists.

>Fires begin to rapidly appear from Mosaic's hands as he begins burning Faust's body up immensely and rapidly. While doing so, Faust continues to regenerate the damage - albeit less and less efficiently over time.

>Pulling his hand back for a final punch, Mosaic then finally speaks:

"I am going to kill you. I can promise you that now, Faust. Savor your last moments - because that's all you're getting now."

>Mosaic then charges his fist with a glowing red energy that he hasn't materialized before, delivering the final punch down and rapidly immolating the entirety of the field in a haze of fire and heat in addition to all of the sheer force and power being demonstrated.

>The large conflagrations increase the ambient temperature of the manufacturing facility. As machinery begins to catch fire and electronic devices start malfunctioning - the metallic plating covering the exterior walls starts to melt off slowly.

>Two blurs of speed begin weaving their way throughout the interior of the production plant. Various welding machines, silicon wafers and steel melting setups get obliterated by sheer kinetic force. After a few moments, one of the blurs is slammed into the ground from above, creating another crater - deep in the area.

"………"

>There's an eerie silence for a moment - before Faust quickly jumps out of the hole - only for him to be ensnared by a large industrial chain. As the blistering hot metallic chain wraps around his neck, he finds that he can't break free of it - surprisingly.

"ACK! Wha - fuck…ACK! Is t-t-t"

>Struggling to speak, Faust darts around for something to help break the unnaturally strong chain. As he does so, the periphery of his vision notices Mosaic walking up from behind him - holding the end of the chain.

"How the fu- ACK!"

>Fear now gripping his body, Faust only feels the paralyzing sensation of panic - now fully aware of the unnaturally bright red glow that surrounds Mosaic's body.

"Y-You won't ACK! K-Ki….Don't ACK! Haaa..the balls…."

>Moving in closely to stare Faust directly in the face, Mosaic then finally speaks:

"Last few months made me rethink a lot about what I can and can't do."

>Faust's eyes widen as Mosaic then pulls on the chain with substantial force - snapping Faust's neck a clean 180 degrees and generating a massive surge of concussive force - which outright destroys the entire manufacturing plant.

>Large tons of debris begin to fall, along with burning metal. Mosaic drops the chain and begins walking away - as Faust's lifeless body crumples to the floor, getting impaled by large chunks of metal while also catching on fire.

>After Mosaic slowly moves past the majority of the burning wreckage - he turns around to look behind him. Large plumes of black smoke appear - reaching upward and to the clouds above. As he mutters to himself:

{"That isn't enough. Not for you. I don't want you dead just yet, Jack."}

>He notices a figure standing in the distance. Without even seeing the person, he intuits their identity - saying out loud.

"If you don't want to end up like a fossil yourself, Maeve, then give me Miranda Grayson. I know you have her."

>Not revealing the mental probe he made into Faust's mind right before snapping his neck - with his mental defenses down due to sheer fear; Mosaic instead presses Maeve further.

"My good name and reputation should have gotten as far as these backwaters. So make this easy for yourself, and return the woman he kidnapped."

>Maeve narrows her eyes at Mosaic for a moment, before stating:

"She is in no real danger, in fact."

>The woman then snaps her fingers, causing a beam of white light to materialize from the skies - revealing Miranda's unconscious body.

"The reprobate revealed his true nature to me in his exchange with you, just now. He seemingly forgets that other forms of presence concealing exist - a fact you seemed to recognize."

>Giving a somewhat exasperated sigh of annoyance, Mosaic then says:

"So what exactly do you want from me? Flattery or not, a good negotiator builds up their partner before the terms are ironed out. So what do you want?"

>The female Crusader looks Mosaic dead in the lenses, before stating:

"Get the MRD to maintain their deal with us. I have use for more members of my growing flock."

>Scoffing, Mosaic responds:

"So you want me to toss you more Meta-Humans that you can trick into getting brainwashed?"

>Maeve answers back:

"I want you to present to me more anguished souls in need of redemption. Murderers and assaulters. Sadists. The most vile of society. They no longer deserve the sin of 'free will'. They will instead pay their penance to the divine creator - who bestowed us with our gifts. And they will pay to him with the rest of their lives."

>Mosaic then goes silent for a moment, before saying:

"Help me make sure that Faust doesn't leave this place alive, and you have a deal."

>Maeve closes her eyes and gives a sheepish shrug, before opening her eyes again to say:

"I expected stronger terms. But this is more than acceptable."

>Almost on cue, the wreckage of the manufacturing plant blows apart in an explosion of force as Faust slowly stumbles out of the wreckage. As Mosaic expected, Faust's absurd healing factor kept him alive - but barely.

"You know what Grayson? I didn't think…you had it in you."

>The flaming chain around Faust's neck slowly falls off - as the tatters of his costume become more apparent. Various lacerations appear across his sickly looking skin - the mark of 3rd degree burns. As his vision grows hazy, he then brings a hand up to his mask, going:

"If you just kept your fucking nose out of my business - then it wouldn't have led to this. But no. You just had to play the fucking hero - didn't you?"

>Sneering, he then states:

"Well just for that, I'm stretching out Dr. Weber first. Well, more than your old man already di-"

>In that moment, a hail of swords rains down from above in a range of bright white light.

"GYAH! FUCK!"

>As Faust is continually bombarded by a shower of incredibly sharp swords and knives, Maeve wraps her body in a bright white and red light - fading to reveal a larger and more powerful set of armor.

"As ghastly as you are incompetent. You are beneath salvation. Only damnation is a fitting end for you now…."

>Opening her hand to reveal her armored palm - a flash of red and white light manifests a large sword for her to wield. The armored carapace she finds herself in now is reinforced with a supernaturally bright metal.

>Mosaic, staring directly at Faust's impaled body, says nothing. Instead, he waits for Faust to react.

>Still impaled with blood dripping down from every open wound in his body, Faust then starts laughing hysterically.

"…Ahahahaha. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! God! I'm going to miss you when you're dead! So I'll delay that for as long as I can now!"

>Shattering the swords attached to his body, Faust doesn't even register the pain of the damage anymore - as space-time distorts around him to reveal half a dozen perfectly undamaged clones of the being.

>At the same time, Faust's gloved hand glows with a black and purple light - shooting upwards. The light, clearly supernatural in some way, generates a cloud of darkness above.

>As the skies around the area continue to darken, Mosaic's lenses then immediately narrow as his extra-sensory perception and intuition reveal something.

"….That's not Meta-Human in nature."

>Then a large crystaline monster in a humanoid shape - crashes down into the ground below. The now armored Maeve holds her sword hand out - creating another stream of sword projectiles - aiming them straight for the creature, only for them to dent but not shatter it.

"It seems the demon has more tricks than initially anticipated."

>Mosaic looks around, seeing the copies of Faust that are now widely spread out surrounding him, before saying:

"Yeah, demon's an accurate name at this point."

>Mosaic then looks around the Faust clones who remain casual in their stances - crossing their arms, yawning or making otherwise mocking gestures to the masked vigilante.

"….I did kill you in that fire, didn't I?"

>The damaged and original version of Faust gives a laugh of hysteria - before pointing at his enemy, a gleeful tone in his voice.

"You bet your ass you did! Good work Grayson! Looks like you're not a pussy after all!"

>Mosaic's lenses narrow once more as he inquires:

"….So why aren't you a corpse right now?"

>Faust then looks at his hand - watching as a sickly black ooze begins to manifest around it - morphing in shape and structure.

>In his other hand, he sees an eerily bright blue ice structure forming. Although similar in nature to ice, the structure seemingly twitches - almost indicating sentience.

"Somebody higher up on the food chain figured I'd make a good recruit. What? You can't hear 'em?"

>Confused, Mosaic states:

"You've lost more brain cells than I thought. I don't hear anything, Jack. Then again, you always were a few monks short of a choir."

>Now angered, Faust snaps back, stating:

"Well how about this for a speech? You're about to figure out what happens when you lose a bit of yourself."

"What are you talking about-"

>In that moment, Mosaic feels the sharpest pain that he's ever felt in his life - barely registering the movement fast enough to see it. Generally the body requires some time in order to process information. Even for Mosaic's mind - a few nanoseconds wasn't enough time.

>The blood from Mosaic's severed hand begins gushing outward, as he stumbles backwards - and then starts screaming in pain.

>Faust looks over, seeing the armored form of Maeve fighting against the giant crystaline monster. She's making decent progress - but it's healing the damage to its reinforced exterior just as quickly as she's dishing it out.

>Looking back at Mosaic - who has intrinsically stemmed the bleeding, Faust then motions for his clones to stand back as he walks up to Mosaic and kneels down before him. Taking note of the man's incredibly pained breathing as he begins processing more of the pain, Faust then says:

"You see Aiden. There are benefits to selling your soul away. There's stuff out there that your little Meta-Gene wouldn't be able to handle. And whatever's powering me?"

>Faust then grabs Mosaic by the throat and begins subsuming him with the black liquid - attempting to consume him whole.

"It's a hell of a boss, maybe you should work for him too."

>Mosaic then continues struggling to breathe and maintain his vision as he begins seeing red and everything becomes blurry. All the while, Faust then continues to taunt Mosaic all the more:

"Don't worry. I meant what I said, and what I thought. I'll treat all the women in your life just right. From loosest to tightest. So that means, from Dr. Weber to Miss Hoyokazi. By the time I'm done with them, they probably won't even remember your name either."

>Faust then leans in to whisper one final line - the proverbial stake through the heart.

"Besides, I think Hiyuki's into bad boys, wouldn't you agree?"

>In that moment, a bright red light showers down from above - blasting Faust backward a several meters. As he stumbles across the ground and crashes against the burning structure of the manufacturing plant's exterior - he slowly raises his head, muttering:

"What in the fuck…."

>Standing in the middle of the field, directly in front of Mosaic, is a man with two-toned hair. Both black and white in coloration. He wears a set of vantablack and almost depth-less spectacles that cover his eyes. His cloak, seemingly supernatural in nature, is black with red accents and red inner lining. There are various gold buttons ornately decorated and dressed across his cloak as well.

>His cloak also covers the lower half of his face, completely obscuring his facial features. Immediately making contact with the downed form of Faust, the mysterious figure furrows his brows - as sheer malice emanates through his voice.

"….Blackburn. The same degree of garbage here, as any other world I would imagine."

>Faust immediately gets up and mentally commands his six clones to attack the mysterious figure.

{"The fuck are you idiots waiting for? Attack him!"}

>As they move to do so, the figure reveals a golden gloved hand from underneath his cloak, snapping it while whispering what is seemingly an incantation.

"Exspirate, miserae animae, per ignes Xiuhtecuhtli!"

>A supernatural flame suddenly manifests around the area - selectively burning the Faust clones so substantially - that they seemingly burn away on a spiritual level; their physical bodies burning away on a physical level, while their spirits also seemingly end up destroyed in another plane of existence, only visible to Faust and the mysterious figure.

>Panicking internally, Faust quickly rises to his feet, beginning to stammer and fall back.

"Nonononono! NO! I'm not dying for good this time! Not before I get my fucking payback-"

>The mysterious figure then whispers a series of rapid fire incantations, the cadence of his voice distorting in a supernatural way.

"Compinge, coge, exhume, relinque; animum malevolentiae ad ancoras corporis constringe, ut venientem illum fatum patiatur!"

>In that moment, various numbers of supernatural rings, fields and energies begin interacting with Faust in different ways - locking his body in a form of perfect stasis, binding and anchoring his soul, spirit and mind to his body - and beginning to inflict substantial amounts of pain on him.

"ARRRRGGGGHHH!!! GYYYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

>Faust continues screaming in pain, unable to move as an agony beyond conventional perception begins to eat away at him.

>The cloaked figure then turns around to see the form of Mosaic on the ground - being partially consumed by a black mass of sentient protoplasm. Disgusted at the sight, the figure then swiftly makes a movement with his golden gloved hand - speaking another incantation.

"Foede parasitus, solve te e corpore meae instar - et relinque sententiam! De auctoritate mea, quam Magus Summus!"

>Immediately, the writhing black mass is then supernaturally separated from Mosaic's body - screaming in pain as Magister holds it in place. Now having trapped the substance within an energy binding and transparent forcefield, Magister speaks another incantation.

"Nunc pere, fac te ipsum distrahe ac dissolve essentiam in nihilum quod existentiam prae- parat!"

>Demonstrating his immense strength as Sorcerer Supreme, Magister then destroys the symbiotic creature - imploding it into non-existence with a dimensional implosion effect unable to be fully comprehended in its magnitude.

>Looking down at the weakened and paralyzed body of Aiden Grayson on the floor, he notices that the man is simply in a tight black bodysuit with - missing a hand.

>Completely ignoring Faust's continued cries of pain - Magister levitates over the still nanite-infused hand that was severed, and telekinetically places it back on Aiden's left stump. Then, as he telekinetically holds the arm together, he then speaks with the same resolve and supernatural cadence in his voice - speaking another incantation:

"Succurre nunc mihi, Anima Seraphim. Renovare quod amissum est huic animae, id spiritualis meae. Ego enim id quod etiam involvit, in hoc magno me tempore necessitatis adiuvabo."

>In that moment, a powerfully bright and blinding light shines down from the heavens above - with a bright radiance. The effect produces a bright, gold light that manifests the most powerful of healing magics. The lights then subside - as Aiden slowly rises to his feet - now back in his civilian clothing.

>Breathing with a sense of bewilderment, shock, and immense gratitude, Aiden somewhat breaks down into tears as he looks down.

"God….I could feel that thing….Just…worming its way into my body. Through every single pore on my skin…My eyes..My nose and my mouth…"

>As Aiden continues tearing up, finally shaken in his composure for the first time in a long time - Magister places a hand on his shoulder, stating:

>Taking off his spectacles for a moment, Magister then reveals his face - identical to that of Aiden's with the only difference being his black and white hair - along with his blood red irises, which themselves are slightly glowing with power.

>It's in that moment that Aiden realizes who he is.

"…You're…me?"

>Giving Aiden a slow nod and a genuine smirk on his face, Magister then says:

"Aiden Ethan Grayson. CEO of Archeon Incorporated - just from another world over."

>Faust's eyes nearly pop out of his head in a combination of anger, jealously and sheer rage - as he turns his attention towards Magister instead.

"GOD DAMNIT! WHY IS THERE ALWAYS A WAY OUT FOR YOU GRAYSON?!?! FUCK YOU!!! FUCK!!!! YOU!!!!"

>Faust then stiffens up, continuing to shout:

"IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR! NOT FAIR! NOT FAIR! NOT FUCKING FAIR!!!!"

>Eyes narrowing, Magister puts his spectacles back on his face and turns his attention towards Faust, stating:

"As for you. Address me as by my title, you inconsequential worm. I am Magisterus Praeceptous Lacertus - The Sorcerer Supreme."

>Faust then instinctively starts panicking as his full-blown meltdown continues.

"SORCERERS SUPREME DON'T FUCKING INTERFERE IN THIS SHIT! THAT'S WHAT I WAS TOLD!"

>Magister then replies, with nothing but hostile intent in his tone of voice.

"Your new master is an Eldritch being that has been trying to worm its way into a universe for eons. That is more than enough pretext to mandate my intervention. How fitting that it finally found a "powerful" enough vessel in a sorry excuse for a human being like you - once you died that is."

>Making a gesture with one hand, ending in said hand closing into a fist, Magister then draws a large glowing sphere of black, goo-filled energy out from Faust's chest. Holding it in mid-air, Magister speaks another brief incantation - which begins surrounding it in the same transparent shield as before.

>Faust, now beyond erratic, begins rapidly pleading for his life.

"NO!…..No… Please….I'll do anything. I'll be your subject. Whatever I need to do! I just don't want to lose this….I have…..I have nothing left outside of my revenge….."

>Coldly, Magister then states:

"Then you should've considered that before you even dared to lay a hand on me. Most circumstances are situational, but transgressions to this degree will not be tolerated."

>Magister then raises one of his gloved hands up in the air and shouts his first incantation, a combination of magic amplification - and genuine killing intent behind his words:

"Subjugate hanc indomitam animam! Cuius essentiam inhabilis ad existendum scinde! Idem furori ac sine exitio, quod ante in aliis ita fuit, affer! Finis absolutus erit! Meo auctore tamquam magus Supremus et vera expressio Virtutis in omni creatura!"

>Faust can then only shout in higher degrees of pain - his corrupted soul begins to burn apart - ripping itself into non-existence on a seemingly conceptual level. His body also rapidly withers and burns apart as a result - as well as every trace of himself and the primordial black ooze that appeared from him.

>Every single aspect of Faust's existence, physically, spirtually, mentally, temporally and ontologically - is then erased beyond repair in a cacophony of magical energies - each too strong for a mortal being to ever truly fathom.

>As Faust's essence is is completely removed - sent to oblivion to never return, Magister then lowers his hand to his side, watching as the burning rubble continues to destroy the facility.

"Good riddance."

>Maeve continues her fight against the large, towering crystaline figure. As her attacks continue to slowly chip away at the monster, she finally notices the commotion - turning to see both Magister and Aiden Grayson standing in the middle of a burning field of fires. Upon recognizing Aiden, she then thinks to herself:

{"…Mosaic is Aiden Grayson? That is unexpected, but also valuable information-"}

{"No, it most certainly is not. The affronts to my own existence stop here and they stop - permanently."}

>Suddenly, Maeve is transported to an entirely different world - with endless stretches of black space for miles as far as the eye can see.

"What is this?!?!"

>Standing in the middle of the empty void, is Magister - hovering in place. He exercises an aura of regal power and authority as he states:

"You will be removed from these circumstances, with your entire memory of the preceding events wiped beyond repair."

>Angered, Maeve then states:

"This is absurd! I have the right to retain information! It is inherent to my nature as God's divine instrumen-"

>Magister then immediately snaps back, genuine anger in his voice as it echoes across the void.

"Do not speak to me of the divine, or of instrumentality! You, who presume to harbor an understanding of the cosmos beyond - are a mere gnat beneath my feet. Let alone that of the ultimate power that dictates all of creation!"

>Causing Maeve to stumble backward in terror, Magister lowers himself to the invisible ground of the dimension and states:

"Thank your God for my mercy - that you only lose your memory, and not your life for your complicity in this instance of insubordination against my other self. Had it not been for my own prior weakness of naïvete - I would render you asunder as I did the pitiful excuse for a man who once existed."

>Instantly appearing before Maeve - he then places his gloved hand on her forehead - causing her eyes to widen as all the recent events of the situation rapidly leave her mind. The degree to which the process is done also renders Maeve overloaded in her senses - as she is teleported away.

>In that moment, time resumes, as Magister stands before the towering crystaline monster in Maeve's place. With a single flick of his finger, he states:

"Lacero."

>As commanded, the large crystalline creature then breaks apart into countless miniature shards - all of which are then incinerated into nothingness by the same mystical fires as before - completely ending the threat.

>With the situation handled, Magister then looks at the entirety of the wreckage involving Archeon's biggest manufacturing plant. Sighing, he then flicks his wrist in a casually dismissive sense, stating as a soft spoken incantation:

"Exsarcio"

>Immediately, the entire stone and metal edifice of the Archeon manufacturing plant begins to repair itself in a rapid rate. Splintered and shattered pieces of metal begin to reform themselves - moving in the path of reversed entropic progression. Any items destroyed beyond this method are then instantly recreated with perfect accuracy - to continue reconstructing the building at a rapid rate.

>At the same time, Magister then speaks two more incantations.

"Submergo."

"Obliviscor."

>In that moment, the fires begin to subside due to the manifested appearance of magical waters and ice - which cool down the relative and ambient temperature of the area.

>At the same time, Magister watches as a transluscent sphere of energy grows rapidly in size - moving and expanding as it begins to cover the entire planet - losing more of its visibility as it expands.

>Now walking back to Aiden as the area is repaired, he then states:

"Your manufacturing plant is restored to its prime function. Everyone on this planet with any knowledge of this circumstance - has also permanently forgotten it. Any written, recorded or captured instance of this circumstance - has also been destroyed."

>Aiden looks around at the area in disbelief, before looking back at Magister, saying:

"I-I don't know what to say. I just…"

>Aiden feels some tears coming back as he says:

"…I killed him, snapped his neck. I didn't mean to- I was angry but- I just didn't want to think-"

"About what he'd do if you let him live. I know. I experienced something similar."

>Aiden looks at Magister in disbelief, stammering even further.

"B-But I thought you-"

"I am you. In almost every way. In almost every circumstance and life situation, we are nearly identical."

>Silent for a moment, Magister then allows his cloak to cover his arms again as he speaks.

"The only prime deviation point being my destiny to become Sorcerer Supreme. You are more or less the answer to my "what if?". As in 'what if I wasn't made into the strongest being in my entire universe?' At least that is how I choose to view the difference in our circumstances."

>Aiden thinks long and hard about Magister's statements, before he then says:

"…..Wait a minute. Sorcerer Supreme? Isn't that what Orion's sister, Stephanie, is supposed to be?"

>Naturally using his supernatural intuition and intelligence to put the pieces together, Aiden makes the logical inference:

"She's still in training, isn't she?"

>Magister nods as he lets out an exasperated sigh - a breath that even he didn't realize he was holding.

"She is, yes. However her husband Isaac could've assisted you, as he is the Sorcerer Supreme of this world, alongside her. He was going to intervene in this situation, until I appeared and requested the responsibility myself."

>Aiden looks down at his hands, feeling somewhat defeated.

"….I couldn't…I just…I wasn't strong enough."

>Magister shakes his head.

"You were, until the Eldritch being I mentioned decided to take hold of your former adversary. You cannot blame yourself for a circumstance that you were never meant to handle."

>Aiden then winces as he states:

"All of those things he said. About mom. All of the things he thought - that he knew I'd read his mind to know. The things he was going to do to Phoebe. Kira. Lisa. Miranda. Even-"

>Magister finishes his statement.

"Even the woman you love. Hiyuki. I know."

>Feeling his face turn red somewhat, he then mutters:

"You don't have to say it like that."

>With a somewhat amused expression on his face, Magister then says:

"I'm you, Aiden. There's nothing you could hide from me that I wouldn't be able to ascertain for myself."

>After moment of thought, Magister then says:

"However, you've effectively lost your equipment. Your nanite suit was catabolized by the extra-dimensional symbiote, and the rest that was attached to your arm were rendered inert nanites."

>Not happy at the loss, Aiden then states:

"I can't ask for the remaining gear from Damian. It's saved his life multiple times already. Orion is using the other gear as well - so:"

>Holding out his gloved hand to signal that he should stop talking, Magister then says:

"I'm aware. For as much as Faust was watching over you - so was I. I know what you've been through, and I know that it's not exactly easy to repair a hyper advanced nano-architecture stack."

>Looking over Aiden for another moment, he then exclaims:

"Also you've burned through a considerable amount of your strength to face Faust - I'm sure you noticed you were hitting harder than ever before. There's a cost to using too much power, even for you."

>Magister snaps his fingers, causing a series of ten bright lights to appear around Aiden's fingers. As he does so, he makes a maneuvering motion with his other finger - grabbing the remnants of his old Mosaic suit and moving them around.

"What are you doing?"

"Returning the favor given what you've lost."

>The ten bright lights on his fingers then coalesce into one large ring - with an ornate structure. There are 10 colors on the ring which signify its past, as Magister then integrates the remaining nanites from the Mosaic suit into it.

"A ring?"

"The Thaumaturgy Ring. The final momento of a group of people who likely perished long before."

>Magister then continues speaking:

"A relatively new friend of mine was in a similar situation - needing something to aid him until his strength returned. Though he was misguided in his goals - his desire for justice was all too familiar."

>Looking up at Magister, Aiden is about to speak:

"Can-"

>Magister then interjects:

"It's not nearly as powerful if that's what you're assuming. I took individual functions from the rings and broke them down, reforming them as one unified ring with one singular function."

"Which is?"

"To create technology - mainly in the form of nanotechnology, at a more efficient rate."

>Magister then nods at Aiden, stating:

"Go on. Think of a design. The ring will make it so."

>Aiden then closes his eyes and thinks for a moment.

"Think of a design….."

>Then opens his eyes - now seeing a red tint to his vision as he looks around. Now wearing an entirely different costume, he looks up and down his body, stating:

"I feel somewhat funny. Not in a bad way but…."

>Holding out his hand, Aiden then instinctively generates a massive conflagration of fire.

"Crap! Sorry!"

>Keeping his hand outstretched, Aiden is surprised as the fire rapidly absorbs itself back into his body. Stunned, he then says:

"Is that…magic?"

>Patting him on the back as he passes by, he then says:

"Who can say?"

>Magister gives Mosaic another smirk before saying:

"Take care of yourself, Aiden. Also remember, you're never alone."

>The Sorcerer Supreme then disappears in a burst of bright red light - leaving Mosaic on his own once again.

>A few minutes later, Miranda wakes up, dazed and confused. Groaning, she then says:

"Please…don't do anything to me. I don't…I don't…."

"Miranda it's me."

>Her eyes opening wide, Miranda looks up to see Aiden sitting - with her head on his lap. As she takes a moment to stare at him intently, she then shouts profanities and quickly rises to her feet.

"Damnit Aiden! That was so fucking awkward! God!"

>As she calms her nerves, Aiden himself also stands up and says:

"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you like that."

>Arms tightly gripping her shoulders, she then becomes uncharacteristically silent - stating:

"…..Faust. Is he?"

"Dead. Completely obliterated - though not by me."

>Confused, Miranda takes a moment to start prying Aiden's mind for answers - only stopping halfway through as she realizes that she can't.

"Sorry. It's still a habit. I-"

"You can look."

"……Alright, fine."

>Aiden gives Miranda permission to look into the most recent parts of his current experience - allowing Miranda to witness Magister's arrival, Faust's destruction, and his supernatural genesis as Mosaic once more.

>Once she's finished, she reels back, stating:

"What the…Was that-"

"Yes."

"Is he actually-"

"Yes."

"So you're-"

"Apparently, I am, yes."

"…..And Faust said he'd try to-"

"Unfortunately, yes. My counterpart is convinced that he didn't get the chance however - not before he was destroyed."

>Miranda then falls silent, as tears start forming in her eyes. Before Aiden realizes it, Miranda then rushes towards him - bawling and crying loudly.

>Unsure of how to respond, Aiden simply pats Miranda on the back while hugging her closely as well.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

>After a few more minutes, Chimera finally arrives to see a crying Miranda in Aiden's arms. Confused, he says:

"Miranda! My God, you're alright. Good."

>Turning around to see the armored figure, Miranda stops talking to Aiden for a moment to say:

"……He saved me, Marek. Aiden…."

>Turning straight to Aiden, Chimera then says something uncharacteristically out of character:

"Thank you Aiden. I don't know what I would've done if she…..if she was just….."

>Chimera then stiffens up as he sighs, before saying:

"What about Faust? Where is he? What happened?"

>Miranda then looks at Aiden, before turning back to her older brother to say:

"Might wanna sit down for this one Mar….."

>A few minutes later, Hyperia Scalar and Omnius all arrive, as Aiden finishes recounting his story to all of them - with Miranda using her telepathy to provide context from Aiden's point of view regarding his past memories.

"…Then after that, the other Aiden - or Magisterus, he just completely destroyed Faust's essence. I couldn't feel it then - but it looked like Faust was getting completely destroyed on a fundamental level. Not just physically but also mentally, spiritually and more."

>Hyperia, still focused on Faust's threats towards her, her sister, Miranda and her mother - finds herself enveloped with a quiet, but almost uncontrollable rage.

"He's lucky enough to no longer exist. That's the only thing I can say about that murderous piece of trash."

>Almost feeling his neck being crushed by her own outstretched hands, Hyperia says:

"I'd almost wish I could do the honors myself, and beat Faust to a pulp - again and again…."

>Chimera nods slowly, a similar rage building inside of him.

"Without question. Still, I'm impressed, Aiden."

>Aiden looks at Chimera, still in his power armor, and says:

"You managed to kill Faust, even with the power discrepancy. How is that even possible?"

>Scalar then perks up:

"It's likely as he said, Marek. He was tapping into some reserve of power that he didn't know that he had. Clearly not Meta-Human in origin. No Meta-Human's displayed sufficient strength to kill Faust before."

>Chimera nods in agreement.

"Not even I could've done it. The best that Jakob and I were able to do was disorient him, long enough to escape. Jesus, Aiden, you're fucking lucky to be alive."

>Aiden gives Chimera a blank stare, going:

"Is that really necessary?"

>Chimera shrugs:

"Maybe I'm just proud of my little cousin - seeing how much he's grown. Visual signifiers and all that."

>Scowling, Aiden then looks down at the ring and closes his eyes to focus. A wall of bright red light then envelops him - revealing his new outfit as Mosaic.

>Almost serving as a red constrast to Chimera's blue design, the more arcane and magic-oriented design of the armor contrasts neatly against Chimera's own futuristic armor set.

"About what I expected, not bad. You look better than you did in that grim reaper reject design."

"It was supposed to instill fear into criminals."

"It instilled fear in me over your taste in fashion."

"Why you-"

"Hey, twas a joke. Nothing more."

>Groaning, Mosaic then looks towards Hyperia who gives an encouraging nod.

"It's not subtle, but it's evocative of style and flair. I like it."

>Scalar nods in agreement, stating:

"Fits you better, honestly. Ever since you showed your powers back in Sanctuary City - everyone knows the gadgetry is smoke and mirrors. Might as well drop the pretense while you're at it."

>Miranda shows the most interest in Mosaic's new design, saying:

"What did your Sorcerer Supreme counterpart say about the ring?"

>Looking down at the bright ring on his finger, Mosaic states:

"Only that it was an amalgamation of ten rings with different functions - and he broke them down and merged their cores to recreate them as one unified ring. It can definitely do magic, that's for certain - and I think it's enchanted to only work with me, so don't get any ideas."

>Miranda holds her hands up defensively, murmuring:

"Not like I was going to do anything. Not after today."

>Nodding, Mosaic then says:

"Well. You guys can go back now. Magisterus, or I guess Magister, took care of the situation for us. I'll take the long way home - since I need time to think…."

>Miranda studies Aiden for a moment, saying:

"….If you don't mind? I'll go with him. I know you brought the Aurora to come here Aiden - and I know it seats two."

>Groaning, Mosaic then relents as he looks at Chimera.

"Hey, I know better than to get between my sister and her toy."

>Chimera salutes to Mosaic and the rest before disappearing in a flash of light.

>Hyperia then takes a glance at Omnius, saying:

>Immediately recognizing Omnius's body language, she rolls her eyes.

>Hyperia then pats Omnius on the back - before blasting off into the sky with Scalar running off into the distance.

>Thinking for a moment, Mosaic then makes a swirling gesture with his hands - causing a red light to appear. The form of the Aurora then appears above - having been transported to their location. Taking Miranda's hand, Mosaic then slowly hovers them both inside of the machine from below.

>Once inside the cockpit, Mosaic checks to make sure that Miranda is sitting comfortably in the back seat - before placing his hand on the synaptic controls.

"………"

>To his surprise, the controls immediately respond - confirming to him that his old suit has been integrated into the current one.

"Well, that's good to know."

>He then charts a course back to Sanctuary City - taking the long way, for Miranda to talk to him.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

>Location: Skies above Sanctuary City

>Time: 8:00 PM

>The night skies above Sanctuary City make themselves known as they contrast with the cavalcade of bright lights below. As the Aurora slowly arrives at the edge of the city, Miranda leans forward from behind in the passenger seat.

"….So it's like I said, Aiden. I was afraid of opening up to people - getting close to them, and just…being vulnerable. And God knows what would've happened to me if you weren't there - if you didn't care about me. If Marek and Jakob didn't care. If Phoebe didn't care. I know it seems like we don't like each other - but she does care about me deep down, and I care about her."

>Mosaic is silent the entire time, has hands carefully guiding the synaptic controls of the Aurora as it descends towards Sanctuary City.

"I also finally told the guy I like how I feel about him. I'm not sure if he'll fully accept me, given everything that I've done - but at least I know in my heart that I did what I had to, in order to let him know."

"Maybe Chase does like you back, Miranda. He might just need some time."

>Initially shocked, but then sighing and giving Mosaic a warm smile, Miranda then says in return:

"….I'm sure Hiyuki feels the same way about you too. There's not much that power can do for you in this world, Aiden. Take it from me, and everything I've seen and done. At the end of the day it's just….there. Serving nothing. Power for its own sake, and just the desire to dominate and subjugate people - it's a dysfunction of the mind, and arguably the soul."

>Hesitating for a moment, Miranda then turns Mosaic's helmet towards her gaze with one hand, staring behind the deep red glass and into his eyes. She then continues:

"….Promise me that you'll never make that same mistake. Power doesn't mean anything without a purpose. So promise me that you'll use your power to protect the people closest to you; because I know that she has a large place in your heart. You'd do best to keep her there in your mind. Regardless of what happens, be honest with her, don't keep secrets from her - and just…..be the better man that you know in your heart that you can be - Aiden."

>Mosaic looks at Miranda for a moment, before saying:

"She means more to me than I can explain, and so do all of you. It's a promise I'll keep then."

>Mosaic then turns around - and then maneuvers the Aurora towards the edges of Sanctuary City - mainly its shoreline as he begins moving it underground towards the cave.

>Location: Swiss Alps
>Time: 10:00 [Relative to Sanctuary City]

>Mosaic appears outside of a large, elaborate house, situated on the edges of the Swiss Alps. Remote, and far removed from most areas of the country - Mosaic then knocks on the door. Having teleported here under his own magical power, Mosaic then waits for the door to open.

"Hello, sorry I was busy taking a call-"

>Confused for a moment, Silas takes a step back, surprised by the imposing armored figure before him.

"Well, um sir if this is about something involving the United Nations-"

"Dad, it's me."

>Mosaic takes his helmet off and shakes his hair around, revealing the face of Aiden Grayson underneath.

>Immediately overcome with emotion, Silas slowly bursts into tears as he moves forward to hug his son.

"….It was you then. Everything I saw with my extra-sensory perception. Oh God, I am so sorry. My baby boy…."

>Silas Grayson continues hugging his son intently, stating:

"It's all my fault. What happened to the Blackburns, their business before they fell apart. I didn't know it would lead to this….God, forgive me."

>Aiden then slowly pulls back from the hug given by his father - looking him in the eye and saying:

"I don't know about the big guy upstairs - but I forgive you dad. I just wanted to check in on you - since it's been 3 years."

>Silas wipes away his tears before he then says:

"Of course. You can come in Aiden. I was just making a soufflé. I can make another one for you if you want?"

>Aiden nods, stating:

"Yeah, I haven't had one of those in a while."

>Silas then allows Aiden into the house, speaking as he grabs the door handle.

"How is everyone by the way? Phoebe? Jonah? Kira? Jason? Your mother? How have they been?"

>Aiden looks back at his father, Silas - then gives a genuine smile, saying:

"They've been doing fine so far - but I think it'd be better if you finally came back to see them, dad. I'd like to have our family back together again."

>Silas then shuts the door behind him as he goes off to the kitchen to prepare some food for his son in a caring manner.
